Wayne Forth has many color photos which he personally shot of SSUS back when she was moved from the International Piers in Norfolk, VA, to Norfolk Shipbuilding & Drydock (Norshipco). She was moved to check her hull condition prior to her being towed to Turkey. From Norshipco she was moved to the Coal Piers in Newport News, VA. Most of the photos taken from a boat on in the Elizabeth River. Wayne's collection includes incredible historic images. You'll also enjoy his photographic work at www.PhotoScenics.us.
